09A - Doppelbock
Recipe notes:
I did a double Decoction mash last time I brewed this. Mashed in at 100 F for 15 mins. Pulled off 1 gallon of mashed and boiled it for 10 mins. Added back to mash to get to about 135. Repeat to get up to 156. Hold for 1 hr. Since this is a big beer I usually rack this onto a yeast cake of a Maibock I like to make.
