Recipe notes:
Boil down the first gallon of runnings to about a pint. You can take this off after about 20 minutes of mashing. After it's boiled down just mix it into the rest of the wort after it's drained / sparged. Feel free to do a longer boil to try to develop even more caramel notes. This recipe scored a 44 during the first round of the NHC in 2019 but failed to medal.
